| Artist Bio |
| I have spent my entire life in and around the art world in one way or
another. I am a graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago where
I studied drawing, illustration and painting. My paintings and drawings
are represented by galleries in Michigan, New York, Illinois, Indiana, Utah and
The Netherlands. In 2007 I began working with the performing art group Mo(ve)ment as an artist as well as a producer of their US/North American tours. I facilitate and help to organize art workshops with the group. I have performed with them in The Netherlands, Canada and Israel, as well as on their 2008 U.S. tour. In January of 2010 we began writing a new multi-media, multi-disciplinary show called L5, that debuted in June in the Stedelijk Museum Zwolle the Netherlands. Creating and producing a show like L5 with creative artists as Tali Farchi and Benno Hübner is really a wonderful experience and opportunity. My most current and exciting body of work has come out a new project that is again a collaboration with Tali Farchi. In March 2011, we completed our first installment of this project that we are currently focused on doing in many different locations around the world. With the Colorboration Project, we set up a temporary studio in a particular location and immerse ourselves in the community and in that way we are able to draw on the local flavors to influence our work. As we have been doing for the last several years, we really enjoy bringing local musicians into our workspace so that we can further collaborate with them in making something truly unique, original and totally attached to the time and place that the art is created. |
